A1 recommends…..Revolucion de Cuba

Our latest outing saw a visit to Revolucion de Cuba, a Cuban tapas restaurant and cocktail bar in Reading. Located on Friar Street, near the center of town, this restaurant benefits from having a number of car parks in close proximity, providing ample parking. • Restaurant: Bull Rodizio (Brazilian Steak House)
  • Address: 64, London Road, Hemel Hempstead, HP3 9SD

The second of our culinary excursions saw a visit to Bull Rodizio, a Brazilian steakhouse in Hemel Hempstead. Situated on the corner of London Road and Durrants Hill Road, Bull Rodizio combines a bar to the left of the entrance and the steakhouse to the right, with convenient parking next door. We visited on a Monday evening, which unfortunately, was very quiet, as this feels like a restaurant that needs to be busy to generate a good atmosphere. On the plus side, it did mean that service was very quick and the side bar, with both cold and hot offerings, was well stocked and easily accessible.

  • Restaurant: Lomito (Argentine Steak House)
  • Address: 55, Packhorse Road, Gerrards Cross, SL9 8PE

Our first impression was a well presented dining area, nicely decorated with plenty of space between tables. After being greeted, we had a drink at the bar before being shown to our table. Despite the restaurant being fairly busy, we were quickly attended to, offered more drinks and provided with menus. Within minutes, our drinks arrived, we were shown the steak selection and our orders were taken.
